Flexible Hourly Rates: My standard rate is $65 per hour from Monday through Thursday, ensuring quality tutoring support. For added convenience, I offer weekend sessions at $75 per hour (Friday - Sunday).

How It Works and Other FAQs

How does online tutoring work?

I use Zoom for our sessions, which will be our virtual classroom where we can each write on a whiteboard, upload images or worksheets, share tools, or watch demos/simulations and video clips as needed.

We will begin with a free consultation, which is scheduled after completing the questionnaire. This allows us to get to know each other and determine if we are a good fit.

We will use the time in the free consultation to develop a plan and determine the best services to help you meet your goals.

You'll find that working online is easy, very interactive, and convenient!

What equipment do I need?

You will need a high-speed internet connection.

A laptop, tablet, desktop - I do not recommend using a smartphone or device smaller than a Chromebook or iPad.

Headphones to reduce any background noise if needed.A mouse or stylus pen for writing on the whiteboard if you do not have a touchscreen.

A Zoom account (the free version is more than enough).

Any other supplies you prefer to take notes, such as pen/pencil, post-it notes, calculator (especially for chemistry or physics), paper, highlighter, access to Word or Google Docs (if preferred).

What subjects do you tutor?

I tutor mainly high school Chemistry (Standard, Honors, and AP). I also tutor high school Biology (Standard, Honors, and AP) and Physics (Standard and Honors).

Do you offer in-person tutoring?

All tutoring and private classes are offered online.

How long are the session and how often will we meet?

I've found that 1-hour sessions works best for most students. Anytime longer than this generally requires a break and decreases retention and focus, especially after a long day at school!

Depending on the subject area and need, meeting twice a week helps them to retain and develop study habits for the most success. We are able to cover essential knowledge and skills needed for comprehension of the concepts in addition to homework and test help.
